The Remington Group has officially wrapped up its inaugural staff wellness challenge, “The Biggest Loser,” with Marisca Korerua, Brand Manager, emerging as the winner after a dedicated three-month journey toward better health.
Launched on 31st March 2025, the challenge began with 12 participants, and 8 completed the full program, demonstrating commitment, perseverance, and team spirit.
CEO Justin Kieseker praised all participants at the announcement, stating, “It’s not easy staying committed when juggling work, transport, and personal responsibilities, but you did it. That’s something to be proud of.”
Marisca admitted she almost quit due to work demands, but with support from her manager and colleagues, she pushed through. Simple lifestyle changes: cutting sugar, eating well, and staying active, helped her achieve her goal.
“I’m actually surprised to have won!” said Marisca. “This journey demanded discipline, dedication, and determination. It didn’t just help me lose weight; it changed my mindset and daily habits. I’m proud of the progress I’ve made, and grateful to everyone who joined me on this journey.”
The Most Consistent and Committed Participant award went to Amulato Bibaesi, recognised for completing all her fitness sessions and inspiring others. Madeline Orim, GM of HR, thanked all who participated: “You committed your time and energy to your well-being, and that’s something we deeply respect.”
All participants received consolation gifts, while the winner took home a Mini Gym Kit to continue their wellness journey.
This initiative is part of Remington Group’s broader commitment to a healthier, more balanced workplace that promotes fitness, wellness, and better performance at work and home.
