Rayleen, one of our many success stories, has come a long way since joining the Remington Group Graduate Development Program (GDP). With her determination and hard work, she has now moved to a new role as a Project Analyst, coordinating and managing exciting new projects for the Remington Group.
During her time in the GDP program, Rayleen honed essential skills like time management, effective communication, and building strong relationships. She also mastered using tools like Ichris, Moodle and Jim2, which are crucial for modern professionals.
“The program really boosted my confidence,” Rayleen shares. “I learned to think critically, solve problems, and speak up in meetings. It’s been a fantastic opportunity to learn from experienced leaders and mentors.”
One of Rayleen’s biggest challenges was organizing a two-week training session for branch managers. It involved coordinating travel, accommodations, and refreshments for six people, all while staying within budget. “It was tough, but I learned the importance of planning and flexibility,” she says.
Rayleen’s advice to future GDP participants is to be open to new experiences, embrace feedback, and never stop learning. “The program is a fantastic opportunity to kickstart your career. Just be enthusiastic, proactive, and ready to work hard,” she adds.
