We are looking for an It support Officer who will be responsible for the smooth-running computer systems within Remington Group and ensuring users get maximum benefits from them. Also, they are required to ensure that calls for support are dealt with promptly and appropriately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for installing and configuring PC’s and associated peripherals and software.
- Log support calls and document their outcome to facilitate the resolution of common queries
- Redirector escalate support requests to the appropriate member of the IT support Centre
- Install and configure operating systems to agreed standards under the direction of the Group Manager IT
- Maintain the existing PCs and peripherals to standards determined by the Group Manager IT by performing upgrades, new installations and carrying out routine procedures
- Responsible for the discovery, mitigation and documentation of information technology risks
- Maintain necessary contact with major key customers and industry associations to achieve the objectives of the Group
- Ensure compliance with all software licensing agreements. Manage and safeguard software media and associated licenses – Tracks software versions
Key requirements, qualifications and skills for the role:
- A Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in similar role within a similar industry.
- Operating in a diverse operations service function
- Experience of participating in teams in designing major change initiatives
