The Remington Group is deeply saddened by the tragic boating incident that occurred on Saturday, 6th December, off Lion Island. This heartbreaking event claimed the lives of three valued members of our Remington team, as well as a child who was part of the extended Remington family.
We are a close-knit organisation, and this loss has shaken us profoundly. Our thoughts, prayers, and heartfelt condolences go out to the families, colleagues, and loved ones who are grieving during this incredibly difficult time.
Since the incident, our management team has been working closely with the families, authorities, the boat operator, and all relevant parties to ensure they receive every possible support. We are providing counselling services, medical assistance, and practical help to survivors of the incident, and we will continue to stand with them in the days ahead.
We are fully cooperating with the ongoing investigations and expect a thorough and transparent process. We remain committed to ensuring that the circumstances surrounding this tragedy are properly addressed and that accountability is upheld in accordance with the law.
Out of respect for the families and in support of the investigative process, we ask the public and the media to refrain from sharing unverified information, images, or speculation relating to the incident. We respectfully request that the privacy of those affected be upheld.
