Every October, Remington Group takes part in Pinktober to raise awareness for breast cancer and support the Sir Brian Bell Centre for Transfusion and Medicine through donating blood.
In October 2024, every Friday our employees wore pink to show their support. CPL Group – PNG hosted a cancer awareness session, sharing important health information and providing free health checks. The Sir Brian Bell Centre for Transfusion and Medicine also setup their portable blood drive setup so the Remington Group team were on hand to donate blood and save lives.
To raise funds, we sold pink ribbons and introduced a K1.00 fine for employees who didn’t wear pink on Fridays. The money collected went directly to supporting the Centre’s work.
When the Centre needed medical-grade bed linens, we stepped in to help. We ordered the linens from CPL, but due to delays, they only arrived this year. On Monday, we finally donated them to the Sir Brian Bell Centre for Transfusion and Medicine, ensuring patients receiving blood transfusions have a clean and safe environment.
Nurse Demaris Penius and Operations Manager Xenia Peni from the Sir Brian Bell Foundation thanked us for the donation, saying that every contribution—whether blood or medical supplies—makes a real difference in patient care.
At Remington Group, we take pride in giving back to the communities where we do business, including supporting local healthcare. Together, even small actions can make a big difference.
